Victory.

I ingested hundreds of grams of monosodium glutamate today from eating an entire pack of Ding Dong and half of a large bag of Boy Bawang from waiting for the electricity to function again. I was on the verge of insanity when I had to endure two days without power in this house! Somehow I felt that our TV, PC, cellphones, the iPOD, the fridge, the stereo...that having appliances are senseless! Gah. Oh well, at least I'm happy again despite my large MSG intake today.

Yesterday,our school is still the champ for 8 consecutive years in journalism now. Woohoooo!!! Btw, I got 6th place amongst the 100-something writers in features...still not sure about whether I got into the top ten for editorial because the awarding was postponed when the VIOLENT storm shook all of Olongapo. The contest officials just quickly "dictated" the winners to the respective school paper advisers. wooohooo [again]!!!It just makes me feel proud that I was given this privilege, and I'd be doing this until fourth year high school. I've been given the chance to join the paper as early as freshman year, and in our school, that's pretty rare.[bragging rights daw ba?! haha].

Yesterday, we thought "deds" na kami sa over-all results. Signs that we thought would rip away our hopes of the 8th victory includes seeing a black cat near the stage while sniffing a plant box(I actually laughed when I saw it staring at our direction), we exceeded two minutes on the broadcasting contest and we all had this "kulang-sa-preparation" feeling. We tried to our guts to feel confident, but we felt some sort of agony after our own contests were through. Fortunately, we would be sending 12 journalists from our school to the Regional Schools Press Conference...sadly I'm not one of them...but hey, there's still next year. Ooh, I just remembered, PRESSURE will be on us next year as we'll be the future seniors. Gulp. Can we make it to 9?

AsI type this, electricity has been on and off. I was about to press "publish" when the lights went off again. Good thing I saved this post FOR THE FIRST TIME in my Drafts. The storm was wicked. Loads of trees lay on the streets, residents on lower grounds are flooded. Central Luzon lost power within a long period of time...graaaar...I love rain, but I hate storms. Anyways, I just missed technology. :]
